Kollektive Intention und Soziologie (2013)

Summary

Acting together supposes collective intentions, which build the framework for individual intentions. Collective intentions orient the individual intentions and actions that together build social entities. Collective action cannot be reduced to individual intentions or practices, also not to individual actions that are directed by socially obtained “schemes”, “frames” and “knowledge-structures”. This argument can only convince, however, if we dispose of a convincing concept of collective intention.
